BREAKING DAWN

Breaking dawn is split into three separate parts. The first part details Bella's marriage and honeymoon with Edward, which they spend on a private island off the coast of Brazil. Two weeks into their honeymoon, Bella that she is pregnant and that her condition is progressing at an unnaturally accelerated rate. Edward, concerned for Bella's life and convinced that the fetus is a monster as it continues to develop with unusual rapidity, urges her to have an abortion. However, Bella feels a connection with the child and refuses, and Rosalie came to defend her.

The second part of the novel is written from the perspective of Jacob Black, and lasts throughout Bella's pregnancy and childbirth. Jacob Quiluete's wolf pack, not knowing what danger the unborn child may pose, plan to destroy it, also killing Bella. Jacob vehemently protests this decision and leaves, forming his own pack with Seth and Lea Clearwater. Bella soon gives birth, but the baby breaks many of her bones and loses massive amounts of blood. In order to save her life, Edward changes her into a vampire by injecting his venom into her heart. Jacob, who was present for the birth, almost immediately 'imprints'-- an involuntary response in which a shape-shifter finds his soulmate-- into Edward and Bella's daughter, Renesmee.

The third section of Breaking Dawn shifts back to Bella's perspective, finding her changed into a vampire and enjoying her new life and abilities. However, the vampire Irina misidentifies Renesmee as an "immortal child", a child who has been changed into a vampire. Because "immortal children" are uncontrollable, creating them has been outlawed by the Volturi. After Irina presents her allegation to the Volturi, they plan to destroy Renesmee and the Cullens. In an attempt to survive, the Cullens gather other vampire clans around the world to stand as witnesses. The Volturi discovered that they have been misinformed and immediately execute Irina for her mistake. However, they remained undecided on whether Renesmee should be viewed as a threat to vampire's secret existence. At that time, Alice and Jasper, who left prior to the confrontation, return with a Mapuche called Nahuel, a 150-year-old vampire-human crossbreed like Renesmee. He demonstrates that the crossbreeds pose no threat, and the Volturi surrender. Edward, Bella and Renesmee return to their home in peace.

..Ok im not going to lie. I was one of those who got seriously addicted to Twilight, who's to blame? The first book of the sequel is quite engaging. The writing is kinda amateurist but it is good enough nonetheless.

Then here comes the next sequel and my addiction has abruptly reach its end.

...So yeah, after getting absolutely bored in Newmoon (the story seems to drag from Edward's disappearance until Alice's return) and getting downright furious and utterly annoyed in Eclipse, i thought i had enough. I was beyond repelled with the 'Edward-Bella-Jacob's triangular relationship that i had to endure my revulsion and force myself to read this last installment. (i cried in frustration over ETHICS and NEEDS, and had been grossed-out at Bella!) And to feed the remaining doze of twiligholic in me, i oblige, in hopes that the conclusion would redeem the series somehow.

So here how it turns out.

In general, i could categorize this book into 'hardly-good-but-pwede-na'. Actually, i would rate it 6 out of 10 if not for this major, distracting flaws.

>>Let's start with the CHARACTERS:

► EDWARD, ok now, where do you suppose had our beloved, endearingly possessive Edward gone?!
The one we have here isnt him at all!
and BELLA, *winced* I was really wondering how could i once loved her.. She's nothing but selfish, flimsy, and whinny. She's hopeless, helpless, utterly pathetic without Edward. Oh, and her unfaithfulness is the last straw!
then JACOB, the most pathetic character that ever grazed the novel pages!! He has been a very convincing and effective antagonist though
for this mongrel had been a constant annoyance to me all throughout the story.

► where are the CULLENS? Gewd, they seem to just pop in and out
of the story especially dear Alice and Jasper.

Sure, It's really good having Seth Clearwater here, he adds a light hearted air to the story. I am, however, kinda freaked out with Bella's mother, Renee. What Meyer gives us is just a paperdoll image of her. Tell me, did she even have a small dialogue after a few lines she had in Twilight? And just what ever happen to Bella's friends? I would want atleast something about Ben and Angela.

THE PLOT:

1) I wonder if Meyer forgot that this is a vampire novel and not a sappy fairytale. Haha, dont get me wrong, i loove happy endings, but this is a blood book, with blood-thirsty vampires so i guess it would do some justice to the nature of the plot if atleast someone died!! None of the Cullens ofcourse, Jacob would be an excellent choice:-)

2) a great part of this book is written from Jacob's perspective. It's good alright, it gives the readers a lot about the things happening inside the pact which i honestly find quite interesting. But since Edward is the lead character here, Meyer could atleast dedicate a part from his perspective as well.
who wasnt dying to know whats going in the mind of the mind reader anyway?

3) THE LOVE SCENE. The love scene which Meyer gave us here is a total crap! She installed that thing until the fourth book then dared to give us just that? Im not particularly waiting for it and the idea of the barely legal couple coupling is quite irking but still im expecting some real romantic love making and not some bibidi babidi boo that is so unskillfully crafted. it was Lousy!! And i thought it would put Bella to the brink of danger? Bruises. Just bruises? CHEAT!!! Ok,whatever,Meyer.

4) WHERE'S MY BELOVED JEALOUS VAMPIRE?! i think Edward goes a little overboard over giving Bella what she wants. I mean, it wouldnt hurt if he throw atleast enough 'jealousy fits' whenever Bella gets cozy with the mongrel. When Bella kisses Jacob in the third book, where is the supposedly jealous Edward?!
The characters that graze this fourth book are really way different from the endearing ones we met in the pilot book. Meyer! consistency please!

5) it was really annoying how could Bella still gets everything she has to give up for immortality. i mean, RIGHT AWAY? Meyer totally destroyed the limitations and restrictions she herself imposed on Bella in the last three sequels. Whats the use of them if Bella would have nothing to give up and still ends up getting more than what she bargained for? Oh the height of deceit!
Meyer has broken her rules in hopes of not disappointing her fans. SATISFYING? yes, but still it's a cheat to the storyline And i wont buy that.

6)i cant wince enough when the overprotective Edward offered Jacob an indecent proposal about sharing Bella so she would somehow concede to abort her baby. Offering to SHARE HIS WIFE?! persuading her to terminate her pregnancy and kill THEIR BABY. That isnt our Edward at all! And crap of all crap, the desperate mongrel quickly agreed. To top it all, when Bella learns about this, she just laugh it off. LAUGH IT OFF, Like it was just a simple matter.
Holy crow, What was Meyer thinking when she write this? It was beyond disgusting, its sickening.

8) At the last part Edward called Jacob 'son'! Lol Terrible! Just imagine the dazzling, angel-faced 17-year-old Edward calling a monstrous Jacob a son? Hilarious, aint it?

=D

9) THE CULLENS VS THE VOLTURI: I really hope that dreaded fight with the royal vampire coven has happened. I had been biting my lips in anticipation for the fight to start when suddenly, everything has been settled. I was revulsed!! I just cant accept that the Volturi coven is still intact and may pose harm to the Cullens once they find a plausible reason
to.
But with a thought that maybe this will happen in Midnight Sun, the fifth installment, i had been somehow appeased. But after having the partial draft of it, which is merely Twilight written from Edward's perspective, i was piqued! The ending we have here is so indigestible, unacceptable. it was like a solution i have to swallow down my already sore throat! Meyer should atleast gave us a satisfying conclusion to make up for the height of emotional turmoil she had given us for reading her saga.

..So there, you may presume-- with these chilly-peppered comments-- that i find this book a total crap but honestly, no. Truth is, despite the fact that it is rife with distracting major flaws, cheats and misdirections that are so hard to ignore, i still find it quite likable! Hahah! Call me crazy, that wont be the first time i'll be hearing it. :)

MISERY

..Paul Sheldon. He's a bestselling novelist who has finally met his biggest fan. Her name is Annie Wilkes and she is more than a rabid reader -- she is Paul's nurse, tending his shattered body after an automobile accident. But she is also her captor, keeping him prisoner in her isolated house. Now Annie wants Paul to write his greatest work-- just for her. She has a lot of ways to spur him on. One is a needle. Another is an ax. And if they dont work, she can get really nasty.

Misery is a gripping tale that delves about survival, internal battle, psychologic turmoil and a great deal about writing itself. I was skeptical about reading this at first, thriller novels arent really my cup of tea, and the backstory isnt quite appealling to me, but since i badly need some distractions, i decided to give it a try. Ok, where to start? I totally like it and I never thought id enjoy a thriller novel until Misery. It's a shame that i just left it sitting untouched on my shelf for about four months! (got it from my cousin..thanks Argie!) It had me at hello, I was caught up from the very first page! The plot is very simple and unambitious but it is teeming with twists and edge-of-your-seat scenes that could genuinely evokes full range of raw human fear from the readers. It is so vividly written, gripping..and has the power to curl you up emphatically into the novel itself. By the time i write this review, I have already read three of King's other books-- IT, carrie, and salem's lot-- so i can say that this is one of his very best. One of his greatest attempt. SK's writing prowess in this particular novel is exceptional, it is very evident over the arresting force you'd feel while reading this, and the next thing you knew, you are already Paul Sheldon himself, youd feel his fears, his pain, and the internal battles he's going through, the emotions i felt seem so real they were almost tangible (my fave part would be the dope-stealing, amputation, sheriff's visit and the last part, the Paul Sheldon and Annie Wilkes' confrontation) Dont let the backstory put you off. Do yourself a favors and read this! The story so arresting and suspenseful you would never want to put it down. Literally, King had my forehead furrowed with stressed lines and moist with sweat beads! Lol. A classic of its genre this book could really put you on the edge of your seat right through the very end.

FULLHOUSE

Jessie (played HEART EVANGELISTA) is a naive writer who got swindled out of everything she owned including her house by her brother, Donald (RAINIER CASTILLO) and his wife Lisette (SHEENA HALILI). Stranded in Prague, she managed to borrow money from famous actor Justin (RICHARD GUTIERREZ) to return to the Philippines.

On her return, she found out that her house was bought by Justin. In an attempt to get her possessions back, she entered in a contract marriage with him for one year, a marriage made by Justin to save his pride for being taken for granted by Elaine (ISABEL OLI) for their childhood friend, Luigi (PATRICK GARCIA)
Inspite of losing it all, Jessie to be cheerful and takes things in strike and business relationship between the two becomes personal as they start to rely and care for each other.

..Ok, getting straight to the point, I'll admit Pinoy remakes are absolutely not my cup of tea, but since i sooo love Hearty, i decided to swallow my prejudice and just give it a try. Wow, i never really expected to enjoy it tremendously!

THE CASTS:

► HEART EVANGELISTA as Jessie Han is a perfect choice indeed! After learning that GMA will be making a remake of the well-loved korean drama, I had only her in my mind to play the perky, bubbly Jessie. I brace myself for some disappointments though..for i im not 100% convinced that she could pull it off nicely. Heart is a good actress alright, but comedy isnt seem her forte, and i doubt if her comic timing would be that effective. It was a relief that so far she's impressively giving justice to Jessie's character, i havent been disappointed yet! Aside from having a striking resemblance with Song Hye Kyo, Heart's light, wisely toned-down acting is remarkable as well. I never really thought she can do comedy but now i can say that her comic instinct is pretty impressive, she is a natural! She took her character with ease, she's so charming and her antics and monologues are hapleslly funny. There are instances though, that her speech tends to be gibberish and her voice has a nasal sound to it that it is sometimes quite distracting but she's just sooo downright adorable that you'd overlook that immediately. Really, i so adore our very own Jessie!!!

► RICHARD GUTIERREZ's acting, on the other hand, i think, needs some polishing, major polishing, that is. Justin is supposedly egotistic, our Chardy is quite a 'softie'. Ok, yeah maybe he just got so used in portraying the superhero sort of characters in his previous action-packed series that he find light acting a bit ironically difficult But he should make an effort to pull off his character nicely or else Heart's acting would always outshadows his.

► PATRICK GARCIA: tsk tsk..why do you suppose he bagged Luigi's role? Cause i see not a single reason why he did! Luigi should look like a heartthrob not a high school geek for crying out loud!! Akihiro Sato or Wendell Ramos would have been perfect.
ahhh... the things i wanted to change but just cant be undone!
Really, Fullhouse would be a total irresistible candy if not for him!

► ISABEL OLI. Is her character supposedly mellow and uhm, boring? Or her acting is just painfully dull and dry?

► So far the SC esp RAINIER CASTILLO, SHEENA HALILI, KEMPEE DE LEON, EPI QUIZON, SWEET, CHARIZ SOLOMON are doing great. Oh, I absolutely love Maya! She never fails to make my day! just take a look at that straight-faced gothic girl and youll sure to have hearty fits of laughter!
:D

► THE PLOT:
hmz..i heard that GMA tend to drastically alter the plot of the korean dramas they make a remake of. So Its a good thing that eventhough they made it much more bigger, they still apt to stick to the original storyline.Theyre good, alright, but Fullhouse's extreme popularity was majorly due to hilarious Justin and Jessie's cute petty quarrels and until now i dont see enough of these. Our Justin is just sooo sweet and gentlemanly! Hmmz...but on second thought, i think he's ok naman. For me ha, i havent watched the original version yet so i cant really make a comparison between his and Rain's portrayal. Well, its just a matter of damn-if-they-do-and-damn-if-they-dont naman.
And as far as team FH is concerned, they want to stick to the original plot, but want to have an original pinoy spice to it. Some twists to make our own version stood out among the others. (Fyi, there's the original-- the Korean version, then the Vietnamese one) Hmz, actually, i think our version is really good albeit its few minor flaws..

::► here are some of the excellent changes they have made:

*Having duped into selling her house by a brother rather than a friend is more realistic.

*Having a gay manager rather than a female one is funnier.

And that gothic girl and her deadpan acting..*roflmao*

i owe so much laughter for this girl! =D

..FH is indeed a refreshing show to watch, a breath of fresh air amidst the stale-smelling dramas of today. i'll be sure to continue seeing it nightly because it never fails to tickle my funny bones!

kudos FH!

ECLIPSE

The story opens with the revelation that Seattle is being plagued by a string of unsolved murders, which Edward suspects is caused by a newborn vampire that is unable to control its thirst for human blood. As Edward and Bella apply to colleges, Bella explains to Edward her desire to see her friend, Jacob Black, a werewolf. Although Edward fears for her safety, Bella insists that neither Jacob nor his pack would ever harm her, and she begins to visit him occasionally.

Meanwhile, Alice Cullen has a vision that Victoria, a vampire who is hunting Bella for revenge, has returned to Forks. A few days later, Edward proposes to Bella and, despite harboring an aversion to marriage, she accepts.

Bella and the Cullens soon realize that the Seattle murders are being committed by an army of newborn vampires, controlled by Victoria. The Cullens join forces with the wolf pack to combat this threat. As everyone else prepares for battle, Edward, Bella and Jacob camp in the mountains, hidden during the battle, where they are later joined by Seth Clearwater, a young wolf pack member, to wait out the fight.

In the morning, Jacob becomes upset when he overhears Edward and Bella discussing their engagement and threatens to join the fight and get himself killed. To stop him, Bella kisses Jacob and comes to realize that she is in love with him as well. During the battle, Victoria tracks Edward's scent to Bella's forest hiding place, and Edward is forced to fight. After Victoria and her army are successfully destroyed, Bella explains to Jacob that while she loves him, her love for Edward is far greater. After receiving a wedding invitation from Edward, Jacob runs away in his wolf form to escape his pain, angry and heartbroken at Bella's decision to become a vampire.

If you are a twilight lover and havent read Eclipse yet, well good for you!! You have spared yourself from utter annoyance and disgust. But if youre a masochist in nature and cant stand to miss a sequel, then read on. You better skip ETHICS and NEEDS if you were deeply rooting for Edward though, those two chapters arent exactly recommended for highly emotional Edwardist. But then, really, you could skip this third book..there's nothing much in this to miss anyway. The much-awaited Edward vs Victoria thing? Its one hell of a crap! Meyer could atleast make it a little suspenseful and edgy! After the fight, i was really dumbfounded, i was like, just like that? seriously, Stephenie? It hasnt yet evoked even a slightest fear and thrill from me and the next thing i knew it was already done! It's nothing but a crappy, wit-forsaken 'blink-of-an-eye-scene' and doesnt worth the damn wait!! Edward has gotten not even a single scratch, i tell you! I wish Meyer doesnt make him that perfect & invincible. And, *winced* Bella's unfaithfulness is really too much for me to digest..To stress my point, i can stomach the major flaws in Meyer's Twilight books, but certainly not this lines!:

Edward pull me into his arms. At first it was worse. Because there was that smaller part of me--smaller but getting louder and angrier every minute, screaming at the rest of me-- that craved a different set of arms.

I saw the whole thing-- our whole life. And i want it bad Jake, I want it all. I want to stay here and never move. I want to love you and make you happy. And i cant, and its killing me. I never had a choice. I always knew nothing would change. Maybe that is why i was fighting against you so hard

why wasnt i stopping this? Worse than that, why couldnt i find myself even the desire to stop? What did it mean that i didnt want him to stop?(Bella while Jacob is kissing her)

..I cant honestly imagine how could Bella, who's completely, hopelessly in love with Edward could still fall for someone else. And her giving into Jacob's threat of killing himself in the fight if she didnt kiss him is sickening!! Ok,d third paragraph is slightly understandable-- human weakness, that is-- but absolutely not the second one! Its downright riveting!

Sure, it aint the worst book ive ever read but i just somehow find it err, not quite 'palatable' to my bookworm hunger. But hey,i think i should atleast give some positive views to Meyer and her highly, PAINFULLY popular Twilight saga

THE BRIGHT SPOTS:

THE CULLENS..they are the major reason why i still find the guts to continue reading.. I just love Alice, the adorable, child-like Cullen and dear Emmett. And yes, Edward, eventhough he's already way different from the Edward i fell in love with in Twilight.

Now Meyer might be amateurist in other aspects of writing, but boy, isnt she good in no-nonsense babbles?
it's honestly one of the few reasons which keep this book into pieces.
I love it whenever Alice is being difficult and insistent and Edward gets annoyed with her. And i so adore Emmett's humor and wit. Sorry, but I dont give a fig about that flirty Bella anymore XP

ok, that's it, i dont feel like being extremely generous now. I am beyond repelled thanks to Meyer and this nerve-racking novel of her

PERFECT

ZACHARY BENEDICT, a famous hollywood actor and director, was wrongly convicted of murdering his adulterous wife. While escaping from prison, he is forced to take JULIE MATHISON and hold her hostage up in a secluded luxurious cabin in Colorado. An unlikely love kindles between the two. Then Zach, who dont want Julie to go along with his complicated life, decided to hurt her emotionally so she would go back home. So Julie betrays Zach's whereabouts to the authorities when they were about to run away together. Then suddenly, the true murderer is discovered. Now Zach believes Julie to be a betrayer and wants nothing to do with her. Can Julie go back to her perfect small-town life as if Zach never come into her life?

..Absolutely PERFECT!! This is by far one of JM's finest novels and it will definitely make my top 3 alongside with Paradise and Whitney,my love. JM has really outdone herself yet again in this highly captivating novel that delves about Love, faith, and sacrifice.

►THE PLOT-- the betrayal type, signature of Judith McNaught and i tell you, you better get yourself a hanky cause it's absolutely a tear-jerker! Alright,on with it, if your into romance, you'd definitely love this for this novel excellently captures the essence of true love. It is kinda slow-start though and there are some subplots which i think arent of a big importance to the story anymore..like who for the world would want a detailed--i mean,VERY detailed love story of Zach and his wife? And that of Ted and Katty's? They just took up so many precious pages! And then there are some who should be there but JM seems to overlook them like what the did ever happened to Paul?! But nonetheless, aside from this minor flaws, it's awesome!

ok, THE CHARACTERS, as usual, are remarkable. Only McNaught could materialize the perfect blend of prince charming we have in our romantic hearts, and Zach is one perfect example! And Julie is so adorable herself..The secondary characters are so endearing as well and remarkable in their own ways. (I think one of the reasons why JM stood out among the others is her remarkable aptitude in creating prime and unforgettable characters-- Matthew Farrel, Meredith Bancroft, Jason Fielding, Victoria Seaton, just to name a few. She just dont create them, she gives life to them as well. ) Ok now,im rooting for Zach, dont get me wrong, but Paul is also a perfect prince charming..( On second thought, it's a good thing JM chose to overlook him after he unintentionally reconciled Zach and Julie because i'd sure be hurt in behalf of him. Lols.) And i love Katty, Ted, and the rest of the Mathisons!

hmm, THE WRITING is the typical JM way, very descriptive and tugging. I love it how she shifts from one character's perspective to another's, it makes the reader get a good view to whats going on in others mind other than the main characters'. And JM's ability to inject a right doze of witty humor is trully remarkable!! oh and i love that Perfect provides an occasional glimpse of my beloved Matt and Meredith Farrel and their adorable daughter and dear Joe O'hara! (i so love the humor of that beast :D)

This is truly one remarkable novel and would definitely evoke every possible human emotion from the readers, it'll make you cry, groan in frustration, and laugh (watch out for the snow scenes! :D)It is full of twists and turns, mounting suspense, outstanding revelations, witty humor , catchy lines and melodramatic scenes. (if you cried a cup of tears over Paradise, then you'd sure cry a bucket this time ;-)

I seriously love this book! If you're a sucker for romance, id sure wouldnt miss this for the world!
