Jessie (played HEART EVANGELISTA) is a naive writer who got swindled out of everything she owned including her house by her brother, Donald (RAINIER CASTILLO) and his wife Lisette (SHEENA HALILI). Stranded in Prague, she managed to borrow money from famous actor Justin (RICHARD GUTIERREZ) to return to the Philippines.
On her return, she found out that her house was bought by Justin. In an attempt to get her possessions back, she entered in a contract marriage with him for one year, a marriage made by Justin to save his pride for being taken for granted by Elaine (ISABEL OLI) for their childhood friend, Luigi (PATRICK GARCIA)
Inspite of losing it all, Jessie to be cheerful and takes things in strike and business relationship between the two becomes personal as they start to rely and care for each other.
..Ok, getting straight to the point, I'll admit Pinoy remakes are absolutely not my cup of tea, but since i sooo love Hearty, i decided to swallow my prejudice and just give it a try. Wow, i never really expected to enjoy it tremendously!
THE CASTS:
► HEART EVANGELISTA as Jessie Han is a perfect choice indeed! After learning that GMA will be making a remake of the well-loved korean drama, I had only her in my mind to play the perky, bubbly Jessie. I brace myself for some disappointments though..for i im not 100% convinced that she could pull it off nicely. Heart is a good actress alright, but comedy isnt seem her forte, and i doubt if her comic timing would be that effective. It was a relief that so far she's impressively giving justice to Jessie's character, i havent been disappointed yet! Aside from having a striking resemblance with Song Hye Kyo, Heart's light, wisely toned-down acting is remarkable as well. I never really thought she can do comedy but now i can say that her comic instinct is pretty impressive, she is a natural! She took her character with ease, she's so charming and her antics and monologues are hapleslly funny. There are instances though, that her speech tends to be gibberish and her voice has a nasal sound to it that it is sometimes quite distracting but she's just sooo downright adorable that you'd overlook that immediately. Really, i so adore our very own Jessie!!!
► RICHARD GUTIERREZ's acting, on the other hand, i think, needs some polishing, major polishing, that is. Justin is supposedly egotistic, our Chardy is quite a 'softie'. Ok, yeah maybe he just got so used in portraying the superhero sort of characters in his previous action-packed series that he find light acting a bit ironically difficult But he should make an effort to pull off his character nicely or else Heart's acting would always outshadows his.
► PATRICK GARCIA: tsk tsk..why do you suppose he bagged Luigi's role? Cause i see not a single reason why he did! Luigi should look like a heartthrob not a high school geek for crying out loud!! Akihiro Sato or Wendell Ramos would have been perfect.
ahhh... the things i wanted to change but just cant be undone!
Really, Fullhouse would be a total irresistible candy if not for him!
► ISABEL OLI. Is her character supposedly mellow and uhm, boring? Or her acting is just painfully dull and dry?
► So far the SC esp RAINIER CASTILLO, SHEENA HALILI, KEMPEE DE LEON, EPI QUIZON, SWEET, CHARIZ SOLOMON are doing great. Oh, I absolutely love Maya! She never fails to make my day! just take a look at that straight-faced gothic girl and youll sure to have hearty fits of laughter!
:D
► THE PLOT:
hmz..i heard that GMA tend to drastically alter the plot of the korean dramas they make a remake of. So Its a good thing that eventhough they made it much more bigger, they still apt to stick to the original storyline.Theyre good, alright, but Fullhouse's extreme popularity was majorly due to hilarious Justin and Jessie's cute petty quarrels and until now i dont see enough of these. Our Justin is just sooo sweet and gentlemanly! Hmmz...but on second thought, i think he's ok naman. For me ha, i havent watched the original version yet so i cant really make a comparison between his and Rain's portrayal. Well, its just a matter of damn-if-they-do-and-damn-if-they-dont naman.
And as far as team FH is concerned, they want to stick to the original plot, but want to have an original pinoy spice to it. Some twists to make our own version stood out among the others. (Fyi, there's the original-- the Korean version, then the Vietnamese one) Hmz, actually, i think our version is really good albeit its few minor flaws..
::► here are some of the excellent changes they have made:
*Having duped into selling her house by a brother rather than a friend is more realistic.
*Having a gay manager rather than a female one is funnier.
And that gothic girl and her deadpan acting..*roflmao*
i owe so much laughter for this girl! =D
..FH is indeed a refreshing show to watch, a breath of fresh air amidst the stale-smelling dramas of today. i'll be sure to continue seeing it nightly because it never fails to tickle my funny bones!
kudos FH!

The story opens with the revelation that Seattle is being plagued by a string of unsolved murders, which Edward suspects is caused by a newborn vampire that is unable to control its thirst for human blood. As Edward and Bella apply to colleges, Bella explains to Edward her desire to see her friend, Jacob Black, a werewolf. Although Edward fears for her safety, Bella insists that neither Jacob nor his pack would ever harm her, and she begins to visit him occasionally.
Meanwhile, Alice Cullen has a vision that Victoria, a vampire who is hunting Bella for revenge, has returned to Forks. A few days later, Edward proposes to Bella and, despite harboring an aversion to marriage, she accepts.
Bella and the Cullens soon realize that the Seattle murders are being committed by an army of newborn vampires, controlled by Victoria. The Cullens join forces with the wolf pack to combat this threat. As everyone else prepares for battle, Edward, Bella and Jacob camp in the mountains, hidden during the battle, where they are later joined by Seth Clearwater, a young wolf pack member, to wait out the fight.
In the morning, Jacob becomes upset when he overhears Edward and Bella discussing their engagement and threatens to join the fight and get himself killed. To stop him, Bella kisses Jacob and comes to realize that she is in love with him as well. During the battle, Victoria tracks Edward's scent to Bella's forest hiding place, and Edward is forced to fight. After Victoria and her army are successfully destroyed, Bella explains to Jacob that while she loves him, her love for Edward is far greater. After receiving a wedding invitation from Edward, Jacob runs away in his wolf form to escape his pain, angry and heartbroken at Bella's decision to become a vampire.
If you are a twilight lover and havent read Eclipse yet, well good for you!! You have spared yourself from utter annoyance and disgust. But if youre a masochist in nature and cant stand to miss a sequel, then read on. You better skip ETHICS and NEEDS if you were deeply rooting for Edward though, those two chapters arent exactly recommended for highly emotional Edwardist. But then, really, you could skip this third book..there's nothing much in this to miss anyway. The much-awaited Edward vs Victoria thing? Its one hell of a crap! Meyer could atleast make it a little suspenseful and edgy! After the fight, i was really dumbfounded, i was like, just like that? seriously, Stephenie? It hasnt yet evoked even a slightest fear and thrill from me and the next thing i knew it was already done! It's nothing but a crappy, wit-forsaken 'blink-of-an-eye-scene' and doesnt worth the damn wait!! Edward has gotten not even a single scratch, i tell you! I wish Meyer doesnt make him that perfect & invincible. And, *winced* Bella's unfaithfulness is really too much for me to digest..To stress my point, i can stomach the major flaws in Meyer's Twilight books, but certainly not this lines!:
Edward pull me into his arms. At first it was worse. Because there was that smaller part of me--smaller but getting louder and angrier every minute, screaming at the rest of me-- that craved a different set of arms.
I saw the whole thing-- our whole life. And i want it bad Jake, I want it all. I want to stay here and never move. I want to love you and make you happy. And i cant, and its killing me. I never had a choice. I always knew nothing would change. Maybe that is why i was fighting against you so hard
why wasnt i stopping this? Worse than that, why couldnt i find myself even the desire to stop? What did it mean that i didnt want him to stop?(Bella while Jacob is kissing her)
..I cant honestly imagine how could Bella, who's completely, hopelessly in love with Edward could still fall for someone else. And her giving into Jacob's threat of killing himself in the fight if she didnt kiss him is sickening!! Ok,d third paragraph is slightly understandable-- human weakness, that is-- but absolutely not the second one! Its downright riveting!
Sure, it aint the worst book ive ever read but i just somehow find it err, not quite 'palatable' to my bookworm hunger. But hey,i think i should atleast give some positive views to Meyer and her highly, PAINFULLY popular Twilight saga
THE BRIGHT SPOTS:
THE CULLENS..they are the major reason why i still find the guts to continue reading.. I just love Alice, the adorable, child-like Cullen and dear Emmett. And yes, Edward, eventhough he's already way different from the Edward i fell in love with in Twilight.
Now Meyer might be amateurist in other aspects of writing, but boy, isnt she good in no-nonsense babbles?
it's honestly one of the few reasons which keep this book into pieces.
I love it whenever Alice is being difficult and insistent and Edward gets annoyed with her. And i so adore Emmett's humor and wit. Sorry, but I dont give a fig about that flirty Bella anymore XP
ok, that's it, i dont feel like being extremely generous now. I am beyond repelled thanks to Meyer and this nerve-racking novel of her
s
ZACHARY BENEDICT, a famous hollywood actor and director, was wrongly convicted of murdering his adulterous wife. Now Zach believes Julie to be a betrayer and wants nothing to do with her. Can Julie go back to her perfect small-town life as if Zach never come into her life?
..Absolutely PERFECT!! This is by far one of JM's finest novels and it will definitely make my top 3 alongside with Paradise and Whitney,my love. JM has really outdone herself yet again in this highly captivating novel that delves about Love, faith, and sacrifice.
►THE PLOT-- the betrayal type, signature of Judith McNaught and i tell you, you better get yourself a hanky cause it's absolutely a tear-jerker! Alright,on with it, if your into romance, you'd definitely love this for this novel excellently captures the essence of true love. It is kinda slow-start though and there are some subplots which i think arent of a big importance to the story anymore..like who for the world would want a detailed--i mean,VERY detailed love story of Zach and his wife? And that of Ted and Katty's? They just took up so many precious pages! And then there are some who should be there but JM seems to overlook them like what the did ever happened to Paul?! But nonetheless, aside from this minor flaws, it's awesome!
ok, THE CHARACTERS, as usual, are remarkable. Only McNaught could materialize the perfect blend of prince charming we have in our romantic hearts, and Zach is one perfect example! And Julie is so adorable herself..The secondary characters are so endearing as well and remarkable in their own ways. (I think one of the reasons why JM stood out among the others is her remarkable aptitude in creating prime and unforgettable characters-- Matthew Farrel, Meredith Bancroft, Jason Fielding, Victoria Seaton, just to name a few. She just dont create them, she gives life to them as well. ) Ok now,im rooting for Zach, dont get me wrong, but Paul is also a perfect prince charming..( On second thought, it's a good thing JM chose to overlook him after he unintentionally reconciled Zach and Julie because i'd sure be hurt in behalf of him. Lols.) And i love Katty, Ted, and the rest of the Mathisons!
hmm, THE WRITING is the typical JM way, very descriptive and tugging. I love it how she shifts from one character's perspective to another's, it makes the reader get a good view to whats going on in others mind other than the main characters'. And JM's ability to inject a right doze of witty humor is trully remarkable!! oh and i love that Perfect provides an occasional glimpse of my beloved Matt and Meredith Farrel and their adorable daughter and dear Joe O'hara! (i so love the humor of that beast :D)
This is truly one remarkable novel and would definitely evoke every possible human emotion from the readers, it'll make you cry, groan in frustration, and laugh (watch out for the snow scenes! :D)It is full of twists and turns, mounting suspense, outstanding revelations, witty humor , catchy lines and melodramatic scenes. (if you cried a cup of tears over Paradise, then you'd sure cry a bucket this time ;-)
I seriously love this book! If you're a sucker for romance, id sure wouldnt miss this for the world!
